Ordinary Cycling Girl HQ is full of much excitement this week as we prepare for our next cycling holiday adventure! We’re heading to Lake Constance and we can’t wait! There really is nothing I like more than travelling to somewhere new and exploring it on two wheels. In two sleeps I’ll be heading off on my first ever cycling holiday to Catalunya. Excited? Yes, you could say that! The smalls have taken the news that mum will be away for a few days very well and I have to say I’m really looking forward to sunshine, beautiful scenery and of course, some two-wheeled fun!

Having never cycled abroad before, I’ve been thinking about the types of things I’m hoping Catalunya will offer and the things other people might look for when cycling abroad and choosing their ideal cycling holiday. (more…)

Top 5 cycling wish list – March 2014

Fairy-BikeUnfortunately I didn’t get to go out cycling this weekend even though the sunny weather was screaming out for a ride on two wheels, but last week, whilst out in the country lanes around the Vale of Belvoir, I spotted two new lambs; the first sighting of the season for me and a lovely reminder that Spring is here…although it would be great if Mother Nature could also do her best to make a more permanent change to the temperatures (it is suddenly rather nippy again here today in Notts).

With Spring’s arrival imminent, it has got me thinking about new kit and the loads of lovely new cycling things that are out there right now. With that in mind, here is the first of my top 5 cycling wish lists. (It’s a shame my birthday has already passed and Christmas is quite some way off, but hey, I can always dream.) (more…)
